Yes. If your provider was in-network on your UniCare plan, they will also be a part of Wellpoint. You can always use the Find Care tool to check providers covered under your health plan.

No. You do not need to tell your providers UniCare is becoming Wellpoint. We will be in direct communication with you and our provider partners about any changes.

No. Your coverage, access to healthcare providers, and support will not be affected. Your health plan will continue to operate as it does today.

No. The Wellpoint name change will not change the cost of your premiums.

Yes. Starting December 16, 2024, you can find us at wellpoint.com/wv/wvplans. If you visit West Virginia’s UniCare website after January 1, 2025, you will be told to visit the new Wellpoint website. You will also be able to use the same registration and login information.

No. Your Sydney^SM Health app is not changing. You can keep using your current registration and login information. The Sydney Health app lets you find care, access your digital ID card, review your claims, and chat with a live representative.

Yes. We will mail you a new Wellpoint ID card. You can continue to use your existing ID card until you receive your new one. You also have a copy of your new virtual ID card on the Sydney Health app. Your member ID number will not change.

No. The Customer Care Center phone number will stay the same. If you have any questions about your benefits, please continue to call 800-782-0095 (TTY 711), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
