It’s quick and easy. Follow these steps to renew your benefits:
1. Check your mailbox.
You’ll get a renewal packet in the mail from NJ FamilyCare letting you know it’s time to renew.
2. Fill out your renewal form.
Complete the entire renewal form and gather any documents requested by NJ FamilyCare.
3. Mail it in.
Mail your completed renewal form and documents back to NJ FamilyCare.
Have you moved?
If you’ve moved, NJ FamilyCare needs your new address. Call NJ FamilyCare at 800-701-0710 (TTY 711). They can also answer any questions about your renewal.
SSI
You automatically get NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid and do not need to renew your health care benefits each year if you receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments. Your medical condition will be reviewed from time to time to make sure you still qualify for SSI benefits. You’ll get a letter in the mail when it’s time for your review.
Have questions about an SSI review? Contact your local Social Security Administration office at 800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778), Monday–Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern time. Or visit the SSA website for more information.
