Vaccines for Children

The Vaccines for Children (VFC) program helps provide vaccines to all West Virginia children whose parents or guardians may not be able to afford them.

Program details

Wellpoint providers who administer vaccines to children 0 to 18 years of age must enroll in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. Wellpoint will reimburse the administration fee for any vaccine available through the VFC program.

According to the West Virginia Office of Epidemiology & Prevention Services, the VFC program helps provide vaccines to all West Virginia children whose parents or guardians may not be able to afford them. This helps ensure that all children have a better chance of getting their recommended vaccinations on schedule.

If you need to enroll a member, or would like more information about the VFC program, call the West Virginia Division of Immunization Services at 800-642-3634.
