Eligibility and enrollment in Apple Health (Medicaid)

Am I eligible for Apple Health coverage in Washington?

Apple Health is the name of Washington’s Medicaid program. It helps Washington residents who qualify get access to free or low-cost health insurance. You can apply for coverage either through Washington Connection or Washington Healthplanfinder. Just make sure to check what kind of coverage you or your family qualifies for.

Washington Connection is for individuals who are:

Adults ages 19 up to 65

Blind

Disabled

In need of Long-term Services and Supports (LTSS) and Hospice

Washington Healthplanfinder is for:

Children

Parents or caretakers with children

Pregnant individuals

Adults ages 18 to 64

If you’re unsure about which program to apply for, visit the Washington Health Care Authority website to learn more about eligibility requirements.

You may be eligible if you meet certain income requirements and are part of one of the following groups:

You may not be eligible for medical managed care, but you could be eligible for Behavioral Health Services Only (BHSO). By enrolling in BHSO, you can receive behavioral health (mental health and substance use disorder) treatment services.
