About the SilverSneakers program
The SilverSneakers fitness program helps seniors stay active and social. It’s offered at no cost as part of eligible Medicare plans. You can use SilverSneakers to access live online fitness classes, on-demand videos, and gym memberships at gyms across the country.
Who is eligible for SilverSneakers?
You can participate in SilverSneakers if you’re 65 or older and enrolled in Original Medicare. You’ll need to have a Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan that includes SilverSneakers.
How much does SilverSneakers cost?
SilverSneakers is offered at no additional cost as part of eligible Medicare Advantage plans.
Does Medicare cover SilverSneakers?
Most Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans include SilverSneakers. This program is not available as part of Original Medicare (Parts A and B) by itself.

Once you enroll in a Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan that includes SilverSneakers, visit the SilverSneakers website to sign up. You can use the SilverSneakers portal to:
- Access your SilverSneakers ID number
- Attend live classes online
- View on-demand fitness videos
- Read health and wellness articles
Your assigned ID number gets you into thousands of participating SilverSneakers fitness locations nationwide. You’ll also get access to community classes held at community centers and parks.
