Am I eligible for a Medicare savings program?

Eligibility for state-sponsored Medicare savings programs depends on your income and financial resources. These programs include:

 

 Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) Program

 

 Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB) Program

 

 Qualified Individual (QI) Program

 

 Qualified Disabled and Working Individuals (QDWI) Program

 

Depending on your eligibility, some or all your health care costs may be covered. For more information, call us to speak with a licensed Medicare insurance agent or contact your state’s Medicaid office.

Extra Help for prescription drugs

Extra Help is a federal government program that helps cover prescription drug costs and waives late enrollment penalties for Medicare Part D. You may qualify for the Extra Help prescription drug program even if you're not eligible for any of the Medicare savings programs. Visit the Social Security website or an office near you to see if you qualify and apply.

Wellpoint and Carelon Health plans are Medicare Advantage plans with Medicare contracts. Wellpoint and Carelon Health plans are SNP plans with a Medicare contract and a contract with the state Medicaid program. Enrollment in Wellpoint or Carelon Health depends on contract renewal.
